Getting Started

How do I install Prompt Archer?

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store page
2. Click "Add to Chrome"
3. Confirm the installation
4. The extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar

Which AI platforms does Prompt Archer support?

Prompt Archer works with:

• ChatGPT (OpenAI)

Using Prompt Archer

How do I activate a prompt?

1. Open any supported AI platform
2. Select a prompt from the dropdown menu
3. The prompt will be automatically injected

Can I create my own custom prompts?

Yes! You can create, edit, and organize your own custom system prompts:

• Click the settings icon
• Click "Create new prompt"
• Write your prompt and save it
• It will appear in your prompt list for future use

Are my prompts stored securely?

Yes, all your custom prompts are stored locally in your browser only. We never upload or store your personal prompts on our servers.

Troubleshooting

The extension isn’t working on an AI platform

Try these steps:

1. Refresh the AI platform page
2. Make sure you’re on the correct URL (e.g., chat.openai.com for ChatGPT)
3. Check if the extension is enabled in Chrome settings
4. Try disabling and re-enabling the extension
5. Clear your browser cache and cookies

My custom prompts disappeared

Custom prompts are stored in your browser’s local storage. They may disappear if:

• You cleared your browser data
• You’re using incognito/private browsing mode
• Your browser storage is full
• You uninstalled and reinstalled the extension

Tip: We recommend backing up important custom prompts by copying them to a text file.

The prompt injection seems slow

Prompt injection speed depends on:

• The AI platform’s loading time
• Your internet connection
• Browser performance

If it’s consistently slow, try refreshing the page or restarting your browser.

Privacy & Data

What data does Prompt Archer collect?

We only collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the extension. We do NOT collect your prompts, conversations, or personal information. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use Prompt Archer offline?

Once installed, the extension works offline for prompt management. However, you’ll need an internet connection to use the AI platforms themselves.
